List of folks to hire for your open role

As a follow up to my post on former automatticians who were impacted by a layoff, I wanted to highlight some former colleagues who are open to work and ready to be hired. As a reminder, if you’re hiring, know that ex-Automatticians are adaptable self-starters, lifelong learners, and wildly creative problem solvers. They take deep ownership of their work and want to help those around them thrive too. • Madeleine Flynn (LinkedIn): Community and content marketer with a background in project management, experiential marketing, and culture building. At Automattic, I managed two branded in-person spaces, along with all events and partnerships within them. I’m now seeking my next role as a Brand or Digital Marketing Manager, or Marketing Generalist.
• Jasmine Ho (LinkedIn, Portfolio): Senior Brand & Marketing Designer with a background in illustration and graphic design. I am passionate at creating marketing campaigns that connect global audiences via digital, social, OOH, and editorial mediums. I bring a thoughtful and hands-on approach to visual storytelling—crafting work that’s bold, strategic, and culturally aware. At Automattic, I worked as a Happiness Engineer across WordPress.com and Woo. I’m seeking opportunities in Technical Support, Customer Success, or WordPress/Woo Operations leadership.
• Kelly Choyce-Dwan (LinkedIn, ryelle.codes): a senior fullstack engineer, WordPress core committer, tech lead for WordPress.org redesign. I enjoy working in TypeScript/React & CSS, on design systems & accessibility, and collaborating with design. Looking for a remote US engineering role that includes some or all of those!

• Mohammed Riyazuddin (LinkedIn): With 19+ years of experience in technical support, including 5+ years as a Happiness Engineer at Automattic, I bring deep expertise in customer support, troubleshooting, and web technologies. • Amanda Riu (LinkedIn): Senior Android Engineer with over 11 years of Android development experience, specializing in modern development (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, etc), architectural leadership, and delivering robust high-quality apps. Adept at modern Android technologies, design principles, agile methodologies, and optimizing the user experience. Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features. I’m based in the US and looking for remote opportunities anywhere in the world. 
• Brian Alexander (LinkedIn, brianalexander.com): Full-stack developer with 25+ years of experience and recent WordPress Core team lead at Automattic. I specialize in backend engineering, WordPress Core development, testing infrastructure, and have extensive experience with distributed teams and client collaboration in agency environments. Looking for a remote backend or full-stack engineering role where I can leverage my WordPress expertise, mentoring skills, and passion for bug triage and testing.
• Simon Wheatley (LinkedIn): Product Management leader, most recently led product management at WordPress VIP serving customers like NASA, News Corporation, Capgemini, and Salesforce. Looking for work as a Group Product Manager where I can help build products and the product culture for the organisation.
• Tim Broddin (LinkedIn – website – blog): Full-stack creative developer with a background in media and product engineering. I’ve worked at Automattic, VRT Creative Lab, and several creative agencies, building digital experiences with Next.js, TypeScript, Expo, Laravel, and WordPress. Currently open to freelance or full-time opportunities that allow me to bridge creativity and technology.
• Peter Kiss (LinkedIn): EU | Experienced Frontend Engineer with full-stack knowledge, focusing on accessibility, performance and a great user experience. I’ve built fast and accessible web apps using React, Vue, Preact, Angular and vanilla JS, and I love learning new languages and technologies. I have an eye for design and attention to detail and user needs.
• Lauren Crees (LinkedIn): Intentional manager with a background in engineering management, operations, accounting, and documentation. Interested in process improvement, analysis, and research to establish and reach goals. Always learning and growing.
• Jeremy Anderberg (LinkedIn): Content, communications, and marketing leader with over a dozen years of experience across a variety of industries (mostly in lifestyle, startups, and tech/SaaS). My real specialty is in ramping up content, establishing content workflows + processes, and maintaining a rock-solid marketing calendar.
